A common misconception regarding losing weight is that a person must sweat during their workouts in order to reach success. Sweating is your body’s way of cooling off and has nothing to do with whether or not you will see results. Tracking your progress based on how much you sweat is not realistic. When it comes to losing weight, you need to be burning more calories than you are intaking.

Many of my clients enjoy sweating during their workouts because it makes them feel like they are putting in hard work. If you love the feeling and it helps you go hard in the gym, wonderful! Do whatever your preference of choice is, but I want to educate you on how you can lose weight without needing to make it a priority to sweat. Sweating will not make your progress happen more rapidly.

When it comes to losing weight, a person needs to be in a calorie deficit. You can have the best workout ever, but if you are eating more calories than your body needs, that will defeat the purpose. Is working out properly going to help you accomplish your goals? Yes, but knowing the precise number of calories your body needs to achieve results is crucial as well. Let me know how I can help you with your fitness goals!
